This section presents information about the FTE count of UCLA Regular Ladder Rank Faculty and their distribution by gender and race/ethnicity. Faculty includes both the general campus and the health sciences. The data represent a snapshot from the UCLA Personnel/Payroll System as of September 5, 2007.*

Yearly appointments of full-time UCLA Ladder Rank Faculty, including those from both the general campus and the health sciences, are shown by gender and by race/ethnicity for the years 1990 through 2006. Appointments of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors are combined. The data are gathered from the UCOP Corporate Personnel Data System.  Only citizens and permanent residents are included in these figures.*

AGING

This section presents information on the numbers of UCLA Senate Faculty age 60 and above and their distribution by school/division. In addition, it provides information on the average age and service years of campus top administrators. The data come from the Academic Personnel Office.*

HISTORICAL TRENDS

The number and percent of full-time UCLA Ladder Rank Faculty, by gender and by race/ ethnicity, are presented for the years 1990 through 2006. The data are gathered from the UCOP Corporate Personnel Data System.  Only citizens and permanent residents are included in these figures.*

COMPARISONS

UCLA full-time tenured and non-tenured on tenure track ladder faculty are compared, by race/ethnicity and gender, with faculty at eight other research universities, both public and private.  The data are gathered from the IPEDS Fall Survey, 2005-06.*
