The office for Faculty Diversity & Development provides academic leadership for achieving and sustaining faculty diversity as an indispensable element of UCLA's academic excellence. We fulfill our mission through educating, communicating and collaborating with the faculty and administrators of the campus on all aspects of faculty diversity.

 

We seek to:

 

- Create a climate that is welcoming and inclusive.

- Build partnerships with the academic leadership of the campus and the relevant committees and offices.

- Make resources available to promote faculty development and diversity.

- Identify and address non-salary issues in individual recruitment and retention cases (child care, housing, schooling, partner employment, etc.).

- Make information available across campus to increase awareness and understanding about developing a culture of inclusiveness.
