Message from Vice Provost Rosina Becerra 
It’s an exciting time to be part of the UCLA community. Issues of diversity within higher education are attracting ever increasing interest at the local, state and national levels. Academic leadership on campus is focused on increasing and supporting diversity among students, faculty and staff through the work of the Chancellor’s Advisory Group on Diversity, currently developing strategic plans for campus diversity efforts.
Building upon many of the recommendations from the 2006 UC President’s Task Force on Faculty Diversity, the Office for Faculty Diversity & Development is supporting a culture of inclusion through faculty and chair development programs, programs to enhance the graduate pipeline, increasing access to work/life resources and more robust procedures, training and follow-up related to faculty searches.
